I was not aware that they actively discriminate. I thought they were more in the “we disapprove, but we don’t turn away the hungry” camp. Argh.
Did you check the link? I think there are more cases like that — where gay couples were actively denied help unless they split up, trans* people were housed with the wrong gender, etc.

I don’t even know what that is. Guess who is not the best at being an Episcopalian.
Also I think I am secretly mostly a low church person. Not into the incense.

- Not knowing what Cursillo is
- Being a low church person
- Not liking incense

- Anyone telling you that the above makes you a lesser-than Episcopalian :)

Hi! I just started following you. I’m a trans guy, recently refinding my faith. Can I ask you a preacherish question? How do you deal with the mountains of LGBT directed hatred from Christians? How do you remind yourself that you are a beloved child of God? How do you keep from internalizing that hatred?
